After attending my second convention I realized there wasn’t a reliable simple way of knowing which cosplayers were attending which events. You might be thinking, “well that’s what social media does”, but does it? It didn’t for me. Algorithms change constantly keeping posts from reaching followers, most followers forget to go directly to your account, and so many people try to refrain from social media for sanity purposes these days. I knew creating a cosplayer directory would keep everyone connected in a positive refreshing way!
As a cosplay fan and photographer with limited time and resources, I can only attend so many cons. The CLU app helps people like me with limited resources prioritize which cons to attend and stay connected to the cosplay community even when I’m not in the building!

I’m a fan of people more than anything! People matter most in life. That’s why I love photography, social events, creativity, sharing ideas, and bringing people together. From the first photo I snapped on B&W film in high school I realized the giving-power of photography. After meeting several cosplayers at my first con I knew I wanted to help cosplayers of all experience levels feel acknowledged and appreciated by connecting them with fans and photographers at events around the country.
